I enjoy sharing what I have learned on music and recorder, I really like playing with students.
Jennifer Tsang was awarded a Leverhulme Arts Scholar for her Master of Music studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is returning to the school as an Artist Fellow, majoring in recorder under Professor Ian Wilson.
Jennifer’s musical journey began on clarinet at the age of 13 in her homeland of Hong Kong. At 18, she pursued an interest in early music by studying recorder with Henry Ho in Hong Kong, successfully auditioning to study at the Conservatory of Utrecht (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten; HKU, Utrecht) in the Netherlands in 2010. Jennifer graduated from the Conservatory with a Bachelor’s degree in Historical Performance Practice in 2014, majoring in recorder under Heiko ter Schegget.
Recent projects include a performance opportunity by the production company Muziektheater Transparant’s youth opera Canti d’more II - including her on their concert tour in deSingel Antwerpen (Antwerp) and Athénée Theatre Louis-Jouvet (Paris) and Utrecht Early Music Festival 2016 with historical performance ensemble Zephyr Consort.
